Windows 10 on new laptop

Hello , I have a client laptop which is not returned at all. My project is ended almost 8 months before. I think they are okay to use it. But I cannot login it because it needed vpn token which is expired. Now my question is can I install windows 10 on my machine.

No. It's company property and you are legally bound to return it once your contract ends. There might be bios level locks preventing erase of OS. don't risk your career for 400$ laptop. Just buy one if needed. Company laptop typically has information to return if found on the bottom. Try returning it.
