Casinos employ about 750,000 people. Many more people work for regulators, suppliers, vendors,... Oka $1 Million people are employed. 

They also pay a lot of taxes and keep the economy running.

Stock market is a gamble anedi incorrect opinion. 

Guessing the direction of a stock in short term is a gamble. Long term, looking at the fundamentals of a company and owning a part of the company is not Gambling.

ofcourse stock market is gambling, reading the company's growth and their earnings report, there is a limited possibility, of how to invest but not all times based on the earnings report we can make money, there are several various factors that decide the price including inside manipulations, big whales pump and dumps, penny flippers, etc etc,, 

Just cos you see the company's growth and their products, doesnt neceaarily mean one can make money, excluding big giants like tesla, apple, fb, Ms, only can make money in long terms... 

short term investing is ofcourse a gamble, and there are these penny flippers who make money on daily basis with their unlimited tradings,
