Description:

Must be adept in object-oriented methodologies, design patterns, and UML, and, have the discipline to enforce standardized guidelines while following best practices. Must be able to discern the working of various technologies to solve problems, and find ways to create entirely new implementations. Must embody the core of object-oriented programming: to maximize component reuse.

Specific Services Required

Participates in the creation of prototypes that will be used to verify business requirements have been satisfied. Assures traceability of business requirements from discovery to development. Participates in application development and testing. Contributes to the transfer of knowledge and mentoring effort that will provide the background for ongoing development, maintenance, and support. Documents all aspects of the work performed within the Agency guidelines

Required Skills/Experience

The Ideal candidate will possess:
* A solid foundation in the object-oriented analysis and design paradigm
* RUP knowledge and experience
* Iterative design and development experience
* Unit testing knowledge and experience
* Design and code review experience
* An advanced knowledge of the Java language
* Ability to implement Use Cases and UML artifacts such as Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, Class / Object Models, and other design and prototype artifacts
* Ability to participate in a state-of-the-art Java application development and testing environment.
* Ability to serve as mentor to IT staff.
* Extensive experience in the development of component-based applications, familiar with Object Oriented analysis, design, and programming
* Extensive experience in the development and testing of application/component specifications for applications using: JAVA, UDB/DB2 DBMS, Websphere MQ, and XML (to be used for messaging and transporting of data) development environment

Should be well versed with the following specific skill sets:
1. Six years of J2EE implementation projects with Mainframe migration.
2. SCJP, SCWCD Sun certification highly preferred.
3. UML.
4. XMI,XML, XLST, XSD, WSDL
5. SOAP, JAX-WS, JAX-RPC, JMS
6. DB2
7. IBM RAD 7.0 or any Eclipse based tools with WSAD(Websphere Application Development)
8. JSP, HTML, Advanced JavaScript, CSS, AJAX programming.
9. IBM Websphere MQ 6.0, MQI programming.
10. Mainframe CICS/COBOL/JCL programming.
11. J2EE
1. Design patterns.
2. Hibernate.
3. JTA.
4. EJB 2.0
5. JDBC
6. JSP, JSF.
7. Spring 2.0.
8. Struts.
9. Servlets
10. Webservice programming.
