Defination of need changes from person to petson. Assalu us ki ravadam need ey kaadhu ala antey

For me it's a need, I don't know about others. Besides all these, I didn't question your choice in buying expensive stuff or buying a large house. I am just pointing out, that you will end up in the same place regardless of where you live. I don't think it's an assumption, it is a fact. Now, if someone chooses to live more conspicuously, it's their choice. I am not questioning their choice. I am just saying that they are the ones that run our economy, so it's not a bad thing if you choose to live more conspicuously.

American economy is run by corporates , as soon as government stop supports , they move and american dream become bad dream

The corporates aren't going to make money if people consciously choose to live a life that doesn't keep up with the Joneses. People buy things they don't need all the time. That's how American corporates make money. It doesn't mean they are happy, it just means they are buying things that they don't need.

Question is why would anyone want a house in a 1 acre land. I mean both of them are going to end up in a 7 foot grave, why would it matter that someone is living in a acre and someone not?

Yem hard earned money - even a mainframe develoepr at 100k can afford a 500k house on one acre lot in many many suburbs. it happened simply because you are in usa - nothing else.

who can build a house in india in one acre lot with municpal drainage and water ?

No, look at the question above. This guy was complaining that people in India can't buy a 1 acre house, even if they are well off unlike an average guy in the US. So, I asked him, why would anyone "want" to live in a 1 acre house when they are both going to end up in the same place after they die. I was not questioning the choice of a middle class guy in America who wants to live in a 1 acre house. I was questioning the want of a middle class guy in India who wants to live in a 1 acre house despite not having a choice to make.

Depends on the country, area and affordability… and also commute to work and schools… acre homes are rare and very expensive if they are in the city… you have to go far away suburbs from the cities to get 1 acre homes.. they might even be cheaper than an apartment or condo in the city..

people in India are earning lot of money now.. many of my friends are doing businesses and doing Crores of turnover every year.. many of them don’t even have rich families or business background..

UK lo land ledu kabatti US lo konaddu antaventi?? If that is the case, there are people who live in acre homes in India too..

Next time you find someone who owns a decent home, ask him/her this question…

if you are talking about minimalist life style, don’t expect everyone to follow your thought process and mindset.. everyone is entitled to choose the lifestyle they want to live..

Many people wont calculate all those parameters. They think  the ones in america are richer or got lottery not that they are living in a country where land is abundant. This creates atleast in some unnecessary pressure.

It just means you're keeping up with the Joneses. You have two choices, 1. watch people buy branded clothes, one acre land with a house, expensive trips and feel miserable that your life is not the same. 2. be fortunate with what you have and live a happy life. It's your choice to make. No matter where you live, your life is a choice between the two. Most people buy things they don't need to impress people they don't need.

Bro i am not writing this keeping someone well informed like you in mind. You would know most of these houses are just normal ones in america and may even have some disadvantaged. But i am keeping ordinary people who dont have all this context and harrass their husbands to get visas paying a lot of money here and there.
