క్షేత్ర స్థాయిలో కాపు సామాజిక వర్గానికి అంతగా మంచిపేరు లేదు. ముఖ్యంగా గోదావరి జిల్లాల్లో కాపులు ఒకటైతే మిగతా కులాలన్నీ కాపులకు వ్యతిరేకంగా ఒకటవుతాయి. మరో ముఖ్యమైన విషయం కాపులకు సీరియస్ నెస్ లేదు.
