You can't deny the pay right now in the IT field for superstars yeah. It is more than most MBAs. These compensations are close to sportspersons. Surely these are more than what doctors get paid too.

Don't know about that, most of the folks at Stanford were getting paid like around 300k. That's the norm. I don't know about the norm for SWE. It might be similar.

How many of them are there? An Engineering director is getting paid a lot here. A director with an MBA from a top school won't get paid the same.

That is after they complete their residency. They would be around 31 at that time. 31 year old SWE in Silicon Valley can easily earn 300K. Also the career growth for people there would mean that by the time they are 45 they will make 500-600k min.
