2 Omicron Cases Detected In India, Says Government

Two COVID-19 cases of the Omicron variant have been detected in India, the Health Ministry said on Thursday, in the first confirmation of the coronavirus strain within the country's borders that has triggered global alarm.

Both the cases have been reported in Karnataka with the patients being two men aged 66 and 46, the Health Ministry said.

If india dis proper genome sequencing , we would have had ten different variants already 

Take vaccines, wear masks and ask elderly to be cautious and ignore all this scaremongering

That 46 year old infected person is a doctor..

While other 5 found positive are traced from his close contacts.. There are not confirmed its Omicron as of now samples are sent for genome sequencing..

If all found to have Omicron variant then it shall shoot to 7...
