There are some complications involved with ivf.. ivf is safe but doctors will make u have more tests while carrying ivf baby. Its painful process of mothers. Almost 20-30 injections self ga ichukovali. Egg retrieval process lo kondaru 5-10kgs put on avutharu. Since she will be carrying so many eggs(15-20) in that cycle, some of her internal parts will stretch. we can discuss a lot about those but we may end up inserting more fear into a couple who opted for ivf due to underlying issues. coming to financials it may cost 15-35k dependin on which city u live and doctor bro... its not for me.. the pain and money could be OK in big picture when someone doesn't have kids.

Sometimes these questions can put us in grave danger interms of law and legal. Anyways.. here is what i know.. do your own research... once the Eggs are retrieved from your wife follicles , embryologists take your sperm samples and wash it and allow the sperm to swim to the eggs. after 3rd, 4th they examine and count how many eggs have matured/fertilized.. around 4th or 5th day embryologist conduct genetic testing (if you have elected DNA/genetic embryo testing) on the matured/fertilized eggs. They insert fine needles to extract DNA for DNA testing.. using that DNA sample they will test for Chromosome testing. This needle insertion may or maynot damage the fertilized mature egg. So, people who are in dire need of children, donot take those chances of fertilized eggs DNA testing. Here embryologist pick only one fertilized egg. they will not do testing on all fertilized egg. If fertilized egg is damaged during this process, you will have to wait another month , and freeze remaining eggs or redo entire IVF cycle. Remember Eggs are very microscopic and very delicate. So take your chances and discuss this with your wife.

And avi normal ga unte you can transfer the gender you like. US lo it is legal. India lo illegal. But what embryos you get are a stroke of luck. What if you get only boy embryos? Appudu girl embryos vache varaku you have to repeat IVF. Also IVF process is very very hard on a lady’s body. 10-15 days self injections chesukovali. That is only an inconvenience. Real issue is how hormones wreck havoc. Body motham bloat avuthundi. Pillalu puttaka pothe/ genetic issues unte elagu tappadhu. Just for cosmetic reasons like gender selection think how much your wife will have to go through.IVF is primarily cash business in US. Insurance max pay cheyyadhu. Oka 15-20k avuthundi per cycle. Doctors won’t deny you treatment. But how much is it ethical for gender selection ani aalochinchukondi. Health and financial stress. There is a line between using technology and misusing it +

mirchi_bajji
process is very hard on mothers especially if they have to redo it. i dont think insurance pays if there is no history that couple tried though normal conception.
