Convergent vs Divergent thinking

Can we know before hand when to think convergently and when divergently?

Convergent = logical (one angle)

divergent = lateral.( multiple angles)

test yourself well to avoid quarrells

It's not possible to think logically all the time. After all, reason is a slave of all the passions. Intuitions come first then you give post-hoc reasoning all the time. In fact, anyone who says otherwise is just in denial.

It all depends on how good you are at picking the right solution after divergent thinking and the speed at which you can draw multiple solutions in short time

If you are bad at both its better to stick with convergent thinking coz you are following something that worked / dint work before - no guess work.
