Many girls choose to marry h1b husbands from middle class families over guys from affluent families in India so they have the freedom to live their life how they want. And usually in most well-to-do families, dil is more an ornament and someone to give and caretake heirs to the family. Some women can get suffocated with that life, and if she is not getting enough love and support from husband to handle them feels better to move on.
