From what i hear - its 9-5 job, living paycheck to paycheck but having enough to ocassionally splurge on credit card without going bankrupt. Eat in a nice restaurant every week, two vacations a year in which one is international. Large suburban house changed every 10 years in to more suburban to run away from incoming  immigrants . Large car/suv changed every 5 years. When everything is done hang up the boots with pension/401k or social security.
