As per the agreement, the new owner needs to retain the existing staff for at least a year. After that, they can either retain or terminate employment. 

But it looks like most of the non-technical staff are being encouraged to quit voluntarily for lumpsum packages. I read somewhere that senior non-tech staff are interested to quit than to continue working and target is to trim 15% of the non tech workforce before the first one hundred days ends after tata takeover.
