I am on same boat. If I submit second i797 which is valid from May 2022 - may 2025, I can come back to Us only after may 2022 ?

when u submit ds160 put ur new i797 deatils (latest h1 copy) visa may 2025 varaku vastadi....while coming to US show latest i797 they will give i94 until 2025 simple.... old H1 enduku inka...only useful if you are not going for stamping with new h1 ,,you can use old h1 and comeback to US (hope visa is already issued for old h1)

Thanks for reply. My visa expired in 2018 and I am going first time after visa expired. Current i797 tho stamping ledhu. New i797 tho stamping ki velithe can I come back before May 25 as the new i797 is valid from May 25 2022 to May 25 2025

visa expired 2018 ayithey etla vasthav babji..malli , you have to go for stamping , dropbox option undhi kada use it , put new i797 details , you will get until 2025 , while coming back show new h1 copy , 2025 varaku istadu i94 anthey.

Yes bhayya, but the question is new H1 starts in may 2022. So visa kuda may 2022 to may 2025 istada as per new H1 or current date to may 2025 istada?

the day visa approved to may 2025....not the i797 dates...lets say you go dropbox on Jan 22 ..and they approved on jan 24 ...so jan 24 2022- may 25 ala istadu.
