This I agree, contracting lo jobs chese one person I know, he is making more than 200k for two jobs and passed interview and handed over the 3rd job to his frnd and gets 50% of the third job’s salary. In total he is making more than 250k+ .. funny thing is he doesn’t know single line of code but a smart guy.

i hope you or your friend  are aware that doing multiple jobs on H1B at the same time is Not Legal, if you have GC , it’s fine.

So, don’t brag about doing something not legal .

Dont Fall for peer pressure and employer words. know what you are doing is right, it will be very helpful for you in future..

Can't compare contracting to full-time. I agree amzn work pressure is high. But pay wise they are still better

agree, contracting 200 k == FT 140 k

due to factors like insurance, vacation and other benefits.

But i agree that Amazon has unhealthy no wlb culture.

What makes you think that a person is so simply dumb enough to not know the basic policies of a visa? As far as I know, he is authorized by the uscis to work multiple jobs, so that is not a concern.

In his case, it is not illegal. A person can work multiple jobs in the US if he or she is granted the appropriate status (EAD, GC, USC)

there is always a bit of peer pressure,  I cannot deny that. It is not about following the crowd, when a person has the potential to earn more, why not work hard while he or she can? It is about grabbing the luck that knocks the door.

You can’t convince me that Amazon work is worth it for the pennies they pay. Period

I never spoke about worth. I just said its pay is not peanuts as u mentioned.

I am just talking about pay. Nenu career starting lo okka company ki 60-70hrs per week pani chesina 🥜 pay kosam.

I agree wlb is bad in most orgs at amzn. But in terms of pay it's still in top 10% in us.  Okko company di okko baadha. Google lo wlb baguntadhi  except cloud & nest. But promo process is broken and too much downlevelling while hiring. Netflix lo firing crazy.. fb/apple di inko badha.

Then you should read back my original comment then where I said the pay they pay is less for that amount of work there before arguing first

i made that comment keeping most of the folks (on h1b) trying to do such stuff knowingly or unknowingly .

I did not specifically meant You.

i am not against working hard. everyone should work hard, but peoples mindset is now fixed on trying to earn big bucks in any way, rather than doing things in a correct way.
