Why do people move to Texas? That state doesn't follow EPA regulations. High Cancer risk.

My close friend's daughter (3 year old) recently diagnosed with Leukemia (a form blood cancer). I came to know yesterday and was devastated with the news.  Indian. healthy life style parents. Vegetarian. None of the family members have cancer. so, it's not hereditary. The 3 year old has to undergo the painful chemo's and radiation therapy and that doesn't guarantee 100% results or cure.

And today I read this news about how Texas doesn't follow EPA regulations and allow industries emit carcinogenic ethylene oxide at much higher levels resulting in the ppl exposed to them and becoming victims of deadly cancers, eventually.

Here is the news article from this morning.

feel bad for your friends daughter, are the states following EPA guidelines cancer free?

i think overall food is fcucked up more than air, Indians living here for long time are no longer indians genetically, their epigenetics change with food and lifestyle habits here, kids getting all kinds of new issues that have never seen in their families, one more reason to believe all diseases are not genetic in nature

people move to TX for hot weather to create a similar weather as in India, TX is better option for families with kids just to get them outdoor for most of the year, no one is being forced to move to TX

Texas has a lot of oil refineries and it emits dioxins. I think there is a place called midlands in Texas. They say it’s worst place in earth in terms of pollution and it’s less than 4 hours away from Dallas area
