No, consumer pays the GST as part of the total bill. The company will not pay on each and every sale. The company will pay only on the profits they make, if any. And those profits they show are very very very minimal. The profits are accounted at their central office in Mumbai/Bangalore/Chennai. So net benefit to the State is Zero in majority of the cases.

partly true....local kiran kottu, super market lo konna items ki ah shop owner will pay taxes to that local govt...manufacturing company will not pay for that item you bought...its the local retail shop owners will. So indirectly wherever a product is sold, there will be a tax and it goes to that local govt.
