May be movie fraternity should start filing taxes in AP. That might be a good gesture and they will have better chances in negotiations with AP govt

Bollywood knows its limits. They never use movies to project political agendas

centre collects those taxes and part of it is shared with states especially taxes such as income and corporate taxes. India lo gurinchi matladuthunna. Inka US lo ayithe direct ga state and sales tax yesi 10ngutharuuuu respective states vallu on income.

India lo state taxes thevali anna. Too much power is given to centre especially on income tax issues.

mana own example theesukundam....client is located in some state, our employer in another state and our residence in another. Evariki valle tax kadutharu kada. Let say you are in IL but your client/employer is in TX. Since you are not living in TX, you must pay to IL state whatever taxes you owe them. You cant say my employer is in TX so I wont pay state income tax even though I dont live in TX.

IL has 5% income state and you should pay to the state because end of the day, your payroll is generated in IL.

same applies to film...Andhra shooting aithe enti, release chesthe enti....end of the day hero/director/cast ey state lo residence unte, ah state lo tax pay cheyyali......assuming same logic applies in India as well. Dont know how taxes work there.
