Just see the level of risk California takes with low taxes (california overall taxation is almost the same as Texas lol) and high spending, relying purely on outsized returns from its tech sector to survive.

Overall California taxes are about 9% of its GDP. Texas is about 8% of its GDP. California runs bigger deficits because they invest in future. That is why California, Massachusetts, NewYork have iconic companies and have plenty of jobs and an amazing economy.

Texas and other chillara red states are still stuck in adolescence. They refuse to use all the tools available to spur their economy, and instead chose to have balanced budgets and survive purely based on their traditional advantages or by attracting reactionary, washed out trash from ultra competitive states like California. Eg. Loser Elon Musk moving to Texas. Lol. No one important in Silicon Valley - forget Facebook, Google, no one in line for being the next best entrepreneurs even blinked on this Musk move. 

California still continues to attract capital more than 20-30 times as Texas. The capital that invests in ultra risky products. 

Poor ki California lo entha isthe naakenduku. California will always be able to attract the best, because they understand how economy works and take extreme risks and are super flexible compared to useless states like Florida. I mean, who would even move there? Texas atleast has decent jobs in tech.

Why do you think companies are hq'ed in California? It's not because of weather. California's govt has been super permissive and flexible and at one point was not even taxing meals at office premises. California has one of the lowest tax rates in the entire country. They allowed semiconductor companies to flourish there in the 70s when Texas was busy drilling holes in the ground. Then they caught the internet wave, then the social media wave. They caught the VC wave. Everything. They'll catch any future wave too.

Do you think Elon Musk could've even got Tesla or spacex off the ground in Texas? 

Chillara states will have chillara people with chillara ideas. Texas is atleast trying to get better. Florida vaammo. I forgot that AR startup who moved there coz of the weather, while all their smartest employees refused to. Eventually that startup got fcuked. Lol.

What's the alternative to giving poor the kind of money California gives? If there was an alternative, California would've chosen that. 

Because it is the most capitalist state in the entire world. Do you think Silicon Valley is full of altruists? Every single one I have met from there sounds like straight out of Any Rands novel as a hero who wants to change the world and hates the poor. And yet they won't move to Florida. Why you think?
