Kerala police arrest seven people involved in 'partner swapping' sex racket

he Kerala Police arrested seven people belonging to a racket that allegedly exchanged partners for sex. The arrests were made on Sunday evening. Police suspect the involvement of over 1,000 couples.

 

 

The arrests came after a woman lodged a complaint with the Karukachal police against her husband who was forcing her to have sexual relationship with other men. Earlier similar incidents were reported from Kayamkulam region as well.

According to police, the group used social networking sites to operate across the state. At first, they join Telegram and Messenger groups. That's how they connect with each other. We have arrested the husband of the woman who complained. There is a big group behind this and we are trying to find more people in connection with the case, said R Sreekumar, Changancherry DySP.

The accused belong to Alappuzha, Kottayam and Ernakulam districts. The police confirmed that people from across the state and those belonging to elite circles are part of the racket. As many as 25 people are now under police observation with more arrests likely in coming days.

The social media groups of the racket is suspected to have more than 1,000 members.

I am not sure what laws they can use if both husband and wife are willingly participate and adults.
