Did anyone travel in Etihad recently?

Planning to book a ticket from Hyd to Chicago- do we need to collect checked in bags in Abu Dhabi for customs/ immigration? 
 

earlier we used to check in bags in hyd and then collect them in Chicago- we do NOT need to collect in Abu Dhabi during customs/ immigration. Is this process still the same ?

You no need to do that unless it is one booking code which covers both legs

If u have not bought ticket already, Previously Hyd-Ord nonstop AirIndia flight undedi only on Friday, see if that is available still

last yr lo few months temporary ga aapesaru...but they recently started again. Recent ga thelisina vallu vacharu direct non-stop from Hyd to Chicago 15hrs flight. 

Chi-Hyd non-stop kuda started again on Wednesdays
