President Biden’s job approval rating has tumbled to 33 percent in the latest Quinnipiac University poll, a whopping 17 percentage-point drop from February and an indication of American voters’ deep dissatisfaction over his administration’s response to rising inflation and a resurgence of COVID-19.

More than half of American adults (53 percent) disapprove of the job the president is doing, while 13 percent told the pollster they couldn’t offer an opinion

Paapam musalodu , things were already set in motion before he came to power

Hes between rock and a hard place , he can either tank the economy and control inflation or he can let inflation run wild and lose more support

How can he 'control' the inflation?

Sharp rise of interest rates , every 1% rise will have corresponding 1% decrease in inflation

Powell already indicated there would be 1-2% rise in interest rates this year

US has had among the highest inflation in the past two years compared to other countries.

But it also has highest rise in the incomes among the poor. the middle class hasn't caught up with the inflation. That's why all this uproar.

I don't think he will be back in power...

His health is deteriorating day by day

I doubt that he will complete his term

2024 GOP will be back in power

The US is estimated to be growing at 5.5% to 6% with incomes rising among the poor.

President doesn't make a call on interest rates. It's normal for interest rates to keep up with the growth, given the phenomenal growth under Biden.

President sets the agenda for inflation , growth . If Biden is setting up aim for low inflation then he's automatically asking fed to increase interest rates

Biden must play up growth more. And record levels of low unemployment.

Inflation will eventually subside given fed is hawkish on this. They have a mandate to control the inflation. Even the president can't stop them from doing so.

Even interest rate rises won't help much this time, since only some part of the inflation is tied to monetary policy here. Europe inflation has caught up to the US, without enjoying the kind of economic growth us has enjoyed. China is falling behind at the moment. Supply chain issues caused by change in buying patterns of customers, wide variety of covid policies in various countries etc causing rise in logistics costs are also a major reason for this inflation.

If anything this is a period of incredible boom for the US. Especially the last two quarters. And everyone's talking about inflation. Lol. That's why we have the fed.
