Respect to him , he took the right decision to step down when he is in terrible form 

Kohli was one of the greatest batsmen during his peak, but his form in last three years is extremely poor. He would have beensafked if not for his previous performance or captainship 

Its time to return back to batting form

Somehow he lost concentration on his game. Usually I don't want bring family but in this case business mood la vunnattu vunnadu with his wife influence. Not wrong but he should give place to someone if he is not up to his mark. 2022 ending lo chusthamemo retirement or throwing out same mistakes repeat chesthe.

last 2-3 years his dip in form and horendous returns from Rahane & Pujara were certainly covered by lower order contributions & bowlers have to say India were lucky in that aspect in abroad tours if bowlers didn't cover up our team certainly would have in doldrums..

Good since now he is off captaincy pressure time to concentrate more on his game and play, if this also doesn't work out can't see him going beyond next ODI world cup in 2023.

all this analysis of him chasing wide deliveries are meaningless in the age of T20. game is about taking risks, and some of them paying off.

biggest problem with Tendulkar was that he was phenomenally talented, and yet extremely conservative with his approach.

I'm not sure that approach is helpful in today's game. Do you want Kohli to make 240 off 400 balls? without chasing a single ball outside the offstump?

If Kohli's time is up, his time is up.

He'll still retire as the second greatest batsman to have played for India only behind Tendulkar.

If bowlers are consistently bowling offstump lines to him, it makes no sense to completely eschew the drive. The dynamics of the game is not the same as when Tendulkar was playing.

this level of focus on Kohli and analysis of his batting is just insane.

If his next captain wants him to make 100 off 250 balls, he'll do that. simple.

his batting is still solid.much better than any other top batsmen playing for India now.

well said. SA played really well ani oppukoru.

but there may be strategic errors from the Indian side too.. like bowling too many full deliveries. and for that Dravid must be criticized too. Not just the captain. India lost the battle of strategy against SA more than anything.

Do you think he will listen to any captain ... what did you learn or see from kohli ... hes no more bending to anyone ... he went against bcci chief which is very big ... no one went against bcci chief until now that shows whst he is ... egoist

hmm.. fair enough. if he doesn't play according to the team's strategy, he'll be sacked unless he brings insane results.
