UK first 3 movies anni very successful, he was a good looking actor and had very good dance skills. Yes dialogue delivery lazy ga undedi but that can be improved over time, and Uday was an experimental sort of actor he would have definitely improved it. Comedy baane chesevaadu not too bad, his comic timing was better than chekka seran for most of his movies, oka constipated look raatri tinnadi inka aragale annattu untaadi serry gaadi acting comedy roles lo mari. Same with Allu Arjun, it took him more than 10 years to even establish himself as a creditworthy performer. 

Nithin was never good at dance, plus vaadiki natti ippatiki anthey vaadu. UK I don't think was that bad ever.

Why chiru agree to make him his son in law if he doesn't have potential

Uk has got fan following otherwise why producers cast him

I think until ram movie he was doing well after that faded out

No other young hero was on top like him
