Modi govt takes down 35 more Pak YouTube channels; blocks fake news against Bipin Rawat’s death

The Indian government has ordered the removal of 35 YouTube channels and several social media accounts that were propagating anti-India propaganda. Nearly 130 million people viewed these YouTube channels and accounts. The measure is in line with the Modi government's fight on Pakistan's 'online war.' In December 2021, the Information and Broadcasting Ministry took a similar measure, blocking 20 YouTube channels for spreading anti-India propaganda. "The information is completely false and harmful, such as the government being responsible for Bipin Rawat's killing, Bipin Rawat's daughter joining Islam, the North Korean army moving to Kashmir, and so on," the ministry stated.
