food definitely has relevance for lifestyle diseases but my issue is with saying "satvik foods" help with specific diseases. there is little evidence for that.

Konni type of Fish have low mercury content list Edo undi like salmon etc. Not sure google will help. It also depends on the place from which they get the fish..like fresh water fish are ok I guess.

Definitely shell fish don't have any mercury for sure like shrimps bla bla. You can binge on them

Athi sarvatra varjeyat. Moderation is the key denikaina. Daily cruciferous vegetables tinte they definitely will tamper with your thyroid functioning like @spartan mentioned. Cruciferous vegetables Weekly twice/thrice ok..not everyday. There shud be a mix of everything for right balance.

Eggs, chicken, millets, nuts, raw carrots, most vegetables, chickpeas, legumes are all ok for glycemic index. If as indians, we avoid white rice, white bread, sugar, wheat itself makes major difference.

reduce carb intake, take high fiber and protein..

carbs and sugars - watch out

protein and fiber - eat good

carbs - dissolve easily in blood stream, spikes the blood sugar levels up

fiber - no dissolve in blood stream, and good for overall health- defends cardio vascular diseases

protein - keep it going, avoid high intakes of goat/lamb, chicken is the best (only breast grilled), fish any kind is just fine.

fruits - low glycemic index < than 50 is absolutely fine, and this is for only diabetics, if you're a sweet toother, consume fruits rich in sugars, which will also give some fiber along...

drink waters - plenty and plenty of fluids...

do detox at-least once in month for a day,

if possible jog, not possible do any cardio that keeps you moving, like walk, cycling, elliptical, rowing (best), sweat out ya self,..

extra step - want to get good strenght - pick weights, get ya self stronger - but this is optional... only for strenth--

Good Luck!
