Yuck . I don't . Item songs are derogatory and disgusting. I don't support them in any form. Don't make such statements again without my consent.

Did I say that? I  hate your generic statement "women seem to like it" ani ...n I personally hate those bloody item songs because  it's gross objectification of women. We all know those songs are present in the movie only to attract particular type of classes. No amount of  feminist statements will justify that. Don't glorify objectification with such statements. If some women like it, they need to be educated

@hunkyfunky2 Adding to what ellen said, your statement that if women hated item songs then we wouldn't  see them in the movies assumes that the movie producers/directors actually listen to what women like/dislike. Movies produce chese nayallu mogolle, directors mogolle, ee item songs chusi enjoy chesetollu maximum mogolle.. women seppedi evaru vinaru. Ask yourself this. If women stopped watching these mass movies because of item songs, do you think they will stop producing these songs? I don't think so. In fact, I think they will increase the number of songs because they will have no resistance.

So true. Ee songs pettedi some mass audience ni attract cheyadanki. They keep on catering to such audiences ..heros ni elevate cheyali and hero fan base ni satisfy cheyali ante hero should go n tame a hot girl ( in our case this item girl ) like a puppy, apudu valla ego satisfy avtadi. Lyrics kuda alane untai.

That's the nature of commercial films. Their mantra is to make money by catering to the primal instincts of people. Violence/sex sells. Ee puri, sukku, ssr, boya, vv vinayak .. every commerical director knows the mantra and uses it to the maximum possible extent. (i.e., anything that the censor board allows).

I kinda disagree… song (catchy tune)  bagunte ladies kuda enjoy chesthunnaru.. even they are letting their kids to dance to item songs.. not that they support the chauvinism in the songs.. they just like the song and dance.. do I support this? NO!!

I think we are all getting used to it by watching the hip hop and rappers (nicki manaj, cardi b, etc) songs… even in India, there are so many singers like neha Thakkar etc dancing vulgarly in music videos.. they used lot of cuss words in their songs.. trend anukovalemoo ..

Enjoy chese vallani judge em cheyatledu. But enjoy chestunnaru kada ani we shudnt push this culture under the carpet. N definitely not support those directors and producers who make cash out of it. Ilanti lyrics and objectifying way lo women ni chupistu unte there is always some frustrated soul (idi allll men anatle, some random person who did not receive decent education only) who will turn vulgar and look at women as an object only.

Anduke I even hate those crappy rappers like Nicki Minaj and Cardi B. They are a cancer to music. See, Cuss words, short clothing is totally fine, but objectifying women is  NOT fine. Like Nicki Minaj used to be ok when she did super bass. But then she did Anaconda and she lost it anthe..

In any case, I think a man of so called religious stature shouldn't bother himself with such films. Ademana temples lo play chestunnara.  Nak ardham kaanidi, why would he want to watch such films in first place?  Earlier he even made some statements about getting attracted to Anushka something. This guy is odd.

I said the same thing- he shouldn't have responded.

Every statement has context -his age men don't know how the world has changed and what's acceptable and what is not.
