Any short term ideas are risky. Market lo pedite - aa money loss lo unnappudu aaagam aaagam ayyi ammeyyakkoodadu. Ala chesei discipline lekapoyina, money fast gaa avasaram unna stock market lo petta koodadu.

My friends sisters land was occupied  around 2001 . They were NRI's and had all proper documentation for their land

 The miscreants created a fake sale agreement and occupied it .  

Errabelli dayakar Rao was the mastermind  behind it , they were forced to sell for cheap  to avoid long legal battle

Why selling after 3 years? too short time IMO , other options are better than real estate for such short terms

Apartment ki decent rental returns unte think cheyochu , but India lo rental returns are very less in most cases

If you plan to go back to India , buy and hold man , ee flipping endhi

If you want to stay here , India lo enduku konatam , ammatam etc , ikkade konu adedo..

owners NRI's unte and if they dont have any backing or old parents etc, ilanti vallani target chesthuntaru....local real estate agents deggara info untadi on most of the lands....they pass this to police, galli rowdies and local politicians.

just issue create chestharu. They know they have all fake documents and will loose in court. But ee court hearings etc goes on for ages and NRI's or their side of family dont have time/patience these days. End ki settlement is the only option or sudden ga oka buyer vasthadu and he says he will buy it....initially market rate tho start avthadi discussion...then couple days later he will say he found out there is some legal hurdles or pending court case etc....then u will automatically come down on price because raka raka oka buyer vachadu...why loose this opportunity ani....behind the scene, that buyer is from that kabzaa group itself.

Not in Hyd or TG for sure...this is not Andhra dude

These could be there for big shot people who owns acres in prime areas...no ways these happen to 150-1000sq.yd plots in Hyd

You are talking about 20+ years back incident during combined state...lets talk about if we even heard of these things in the last 5 years for regular small plot owners
