Secular is not to bring your religion into a societal affair...relegion should be personal ...period!!!.

that's why only the govt has to bear the cross of being secular. Independent citizen doesn't have to be secular. He can wear his/her religion on his sleeve. in public. everywhere.

school lo rules antey, students have negotiated an arrangement about what kind of hijab they are allowed to wear, respecting both the students right to wear it, and the institution's need to maintain uniformity. its that kind of negotiations that drive society, not top down diktats based on saffron or secularism.

Certain practices are unique to certain religions. Doesn't mean they are promoting their religion. Hijab is similar to putting bottu on face, nen bottu petkoni povadam anedi na religion ni em ruddatledu kada. Head cover cheskovadanki they have layered reasons, let them have it as long as they are allowed to  get educated. Also, it is not causing any human harm.

I agree with your statement kani, it would only workout in a utopia. Some people are so hellbent that if they dont let them dress up on certain way, they are better off without education ani. At least if a handful of these women get educated, their next generations would not have to suffer due to dumb practices.

govt should come up with tricks to get hindu families to send their girls to school too. and then college.

instead of wasting time imposing dress code on girls who are already attending college.

don't say hindu families are already sending their girls to college pls.. TN has the highest graduate enrollment ratio in the entire country.. and its just 50% overall. and 46% for girls I think.

rest of the states are hovering around 20s and 30s.
