Automatic ayithe dont go for DCT(dual clutch trnasmission) mostly hyundai and kia petrol csuv's offer this.

Opt  for  Torque convertor/CVT transmission. Mostly CVT is used in petrol and TC in diesel. 

there is a website called TeamBHP ... spend some time there you will find answers to almost every question and genuine ownership reviews including frequent problems/issues for vehicles.

Skoda kushaq is a nice alternative to them , slightly higher priced 

MG Astor kooda undhi but I wouldn't recommend Chinese cars 

Konchem budget ekkuva untey  Mahindra XUV 700 or tata safari  are solid

XUV is awesome but wait period min 20 months - if we know the dealer we can get it sooner

Nissan magnite , Renault Kriger are also good if there a dealer in your city. great value for money 

Kia seltos, hyundai creta  maybe slightly above budget for automatic. 

also heard that there are long waiting list for most of the popular SUV models 

If not going for SUV, Honda City is a great choice

Parents ki mari fortuner, xuv over load avitai vay driving ki a bumper to bumper traffic lo... compact suv like scross/hyundai venue/ kia sone/Nissan magnate... kia seltos /creta/ Honda wrv / scoda kushaq...
