Hyderabad won as top 1 green cover growth in India

there are approximately 180 Reserve Forest blocks in and around Hyderabad, in 129 clusters. With the real estate prices skyrocketing, with an objective of protecting these valuable forests the Forest Department decided to fence these areas with see through wall. Also, in such forest blocks that are close to habitations, 10% area is proposed to be opened for locals. In this 10% area, some very basic amenities  like walkways, rest rooms, drinking water facilities, rain shelters, etc,. are provided. The remaining areas are fully protected and planted.

Since, there are not enough funds available to complete this task, private individuals, industrial houses, are encouraged to adopt development of these Urban Forest Parks under CSR.This is likely to have a lasting impact on the character of Hyderabad in due course...
