US control of the world's systems is full and complete. China will not want to hurt the balance and just want to be left alone. tech parity with the US is a joke. China's own mobile phones are mostly assembled with parts from Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Inka stuff like nuclear tech, rocket engines, etc ivantha pakkana kooda undaru. Military tech doesn't count coz no one actually knows if its gonna work unless a war breaks out. China is not just behind US, its behind Europe also in tech.

May be AI and some cell technologies lo China is making huge progress. US can simply bar its universities/companies  from admitting Chinese students into these areas. I think they are going to do that anyway. China will be isolated and be made into Russia type state in the future.

I think China is scared of the US. It won't pick a fight with them.

What they have achived in the last 30 years is something almost impossible. 

But as of now they are antoganising too many countries , especially india 

They could dominate Asia with just  economic partnership but they have still yet to learn soft diplomacy that's their biggest weakness

the problem with his theory is - He wants US to continue policing the world (with restraint), maintaining primacy in the world order, cutting down potential competitors to size.

because if that doesn't happen, US will turn inwards, and will start to slip into becoming another country obsessed with itself and give up liberalism.

He's making a lot of leaps in logic with his convenient narrative about the place of 'liberal order'. that he correctly predicted Russia is not an indicator of his correctness in analysis of China.

another problem with his narrative is - he's crediting US with helping build up China economically after the cold war.

I think this is bs. It is in fact China that built up US in this period of time. for eg. when you look at the trade deficit, it looks like China is robbing US blind. but China earns about $50 per iphone, with parts coming from other east asian countries upto $350, and Apple pockets the rest.

China would've grown regardless of US. If not US, other countries would've taken advantage of Chinese manufacturing.

great power is not about "trying" or "intent" - its about capability. Once capability is there it can exercise it at any time. These are way above your little casteist mind.

what is 'capability'? lets see if your IIT brain can actually explain your pov. As far as I'm concerned China already has the capability to do what it wants. It doesn't seem to want world dominance like the US does.

China does want to have influence in its part of the world - east asia. And will try its best to oust US from there, eventually US will have no choice other than to leave that region or risk a war with China.
