Those nukes belonged to USSR and Ukraine inherited. If Ukraine did not surrender the nukes, the remaining 12-13 break up countries would also come up with same demand and each former Soviet republic would have inherited few hundred nukes for each of them.

Imagine Eastern Europe and Central Asia with 10,000 nukes. 
 

Ukraine surrendering nuclear arms has much bigger history and complications.

to be precise 30 nato countries betrayed them, what's the point of joining nato when no one is ready for providing help when in danger, too late already, people are dying out there, and Ukraine just cant do any cos they dont have power, it took half day to capture their capital city... sad

Not just America, it’s Europe which has betrayed Ukraine. Most importantly the neighbors. 

NATO should not be expanded at any cost. If it does, it will create more problems. They just made a mess in Ukraine.

Ever since NATO formed, there wasn’t even a considerable operation where NATO proved its worth. 
 

With Ukraine invasion, NATO’s weakness is now out in the open and can say, no one will take NATO seriously anymore.

Yeah trust is gone amongst coalition. Now all other coalitions are under scrutiny when it comes to reliability and dependability.
 

 It is a disasterous development for the world peace in the long run.

I see it differently. The world would be a better place now than ever. 
 

US being the dominant power, is not good for world peace. In fact, after Soviet started weakening, the inconsistency in the world peace started. Gulf war, Eastern Europe, Iraq, Afghan, Chechnya, Georgia, Yugoslav, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Tunisia to name a few. 
 

I believe, the world will be peaceful with balance of power now. China is dominating and Russians are taking back their lost glory. And look at American Allie’s…they are all sinking ships.
