Didn't they change the soul and essence of both the movies to add some commerciality.....

Most of PK's biggest hits were all remakes except for tholi prema Badhri and Attharintiki Dharidhi.....

Direct movies lo hits kanna 80% flops or below avg's ey ekkuvunnayi...

So for PK yes Remake has a better chance of performing better compared to direct films

Gabbar singh is total out and out commercial movie, kushi is not remake they confirmed story sitting at the same time but pk was busy with badri shooting

 

pink and ayyapan nuvvu entha add chesna those are not out and out commercial still both collected 100crs share WW if we match AP ticket prices with other heros

Still ba no other top hero can pull these figures with non commercial remakes 

100crs share with vakeel saab and bheemla (if ap prices match chesthe with other top heros) itself proves the power of pk

Remakes tho chaala mandhi heroes chaalane pedda hits iccharu baa....for ex:-Gharana mogudu for Chiranjeevi considered biggest hit of his career...earned bigger than bacchan tag etc etc and made him the highest paid hero at that time in india.....

My point is simple see PK's some of his biggest hits were remakes ...inka migilina heroes evaru peddaga remakes cheyyaledhu so no way we can compare that
