US passport for kids

Hi,

Did anyone recently renewed US passport for their kids? Usually under age 16 it will be still like a new passport application but my question is once you received the new passport how long did it take for you to receive the old passport? I see on travel state website it's mentioned that it will take 10 days for supporting documents to be received but it's been 20 days and I still haven't. I still have valid visa on my kid's old passport so waiting for it.

I applied in express service 2 yrs back(COVID time lo ne) - got in 10-15 days.
ippudu time paduthundhi konchem, wait for 10 more days.

ru saying that u received new passport in 10-15 days or actual supporting documents which is old passport in 10-15 days

i have applied in regular and received new passport in 3 weeks but still haven’t received old passport (supporting document)

Received new passport in two weeks under regular service … old cancelled passport received 7 days after receiving new one

Yes applied in mid Feb, new passport received Feb end… old one received yesterday

strange that i applied end of Jan but still didn’t receive my old passport

I need to extend US passport for my kid. filled online application. 

so do we need to submit old US passport, original birth certicate ? and parent support docs emi submit cheyali

correct me these we need to go local usps post offce and submit cheyyali kada ?

Yes, old pspt, original birth certificate submit cheyaali. 
 

parent support docs- idhi gurthu ledhu bro.

DL copies are fine front and back...both mother and father

first take an appointment on usps website like the one’s offering pssport services

fill out application form online
original birth certificate
copy of original birth certificate
parent’s original id’s like driving license
copy of parent’s original id’s
100$ check to US state for passport book
35$ plus 15$ for photos if ur taking at usps so like 50$ to usps
old passort of kid if u already have one

they will return original birth certificate to you after validating and keep only old passport as proof and send it along with ur applications and other supporting documents
