TG got it own state and people are happy.

I think most of Bangalore’s growth was driven by Infosys and Wipro.. also sm Krishna, who really put their IT on fast track did not have the caste or party (congress) backing to advertise the good things they had done.. cbn has his own party, his fans and followers backing him and repeatedly boast of his achievements… 

If ysrcp is not there, no one would talk about ysr or his welfare schemes… Congress leaders attribute every good thing to the Gandhi family… but not to the local cm’s…

How can anyone forget role of Satyam and Ramalinga Raju who introduced IT world to CBN?

Ramalinga Raju house is just 100 yards away from CBN house in Jubliee hills ..In 9 yrs CBN was chief minister Raju was frequent visitor to his house on Road no 65 ... Those 2 were really close .. 

Raju wife Nandini was upset when Naidu began distancing from Raju after fraud came out...

 

2)  Even Hitech city concept is copied from Malaysian Cyberjaya

Kaula Lumpur and its Cyberjaya IT (Multimedia Development Corporation MDC) town with 2 towers inspired Cyberabad & Hitech city towers.

IAS,Randeep Sudan from London school of economics worked from 1995 - 2004 as joint secretary and played major role(infact named cyberabad also).

In 1997 Naidu travelled to south-east asia and impressed with SIngapore and Malaysia and announced Hitech city on return to hyd.

He was clear admirer of Malaysian Development Model and his vision 2020 is heavily inspired from Malaysian prime minister Mahathir 's "Malaysian Vision 2020"

Also they copied Dublin Dockyard Model where land were given as equity for development of Hitech city and now Amaravati to farmers.

 

Though i admire his 97 - 2003 administration but i just dont like CBN attitude and his selfishness...

CBN is never open about himself and tries to hide his weakness and promotes 24/7 which is awkward..

He promotes himself as if he is born NTR son-in-law...

why cannot CBN talk about his school life, intermediate, degree college days and what jobs he did before joining politics?

His life is half baked and un-inspiring and there are better people to admire than his hypocrite ..

Leave aside Bangalore. Chennai and Pune had more software exports than Hyderabad in CBN time. They started out earlier than Hyderabad in the race. What escapes my understanding is, why would CBN glorify himself as the pioneer of IT in India when all he was, was an also ran. 

And, coming to the question why people hate CBN, I guess they hate his supporters and their excesses than the man himself. CBN was an able administrator. Got some accountability to a very archaic government employee system. He was good at identifying opportunities. At the same time, he was also the first politician that corporatised the politics of Andhra Pradesh. He was the first CM to spend so much on non yielding assets like advertising. In a very old thread on this DB, I had written at length about the borrowing under CBN and the net revenue loss. 

Extreme hunger for glory and unnecessary elevations by TDP supporters is another cause. I had people in IT/US from my family long before CBN took charge. But, for his sympathizers, if somebody is in IT it is all because of him. He invented IT. This is very repulsive. "Where would you be, if we were not there" - "You should pray to CBN everyday" type elevations would alienate people.

This last term, more people hated CBN because of what happened on the ground. The Janmabhumi committees ran amuck with their agenda. Most of the non party sympathisers were sidelined and caste based fanaticism. In my village, we had some canal work to be completed. The local MLA had the gumption to say, I will not complete the work(after the funds were alloted) as your village does not have my caste people. One of my friends brother was the regional mee seva head(contractor to TCS). He was not from the same caste. He was hounded everyday to resign and to get someone from their caste into his position. My dad used to get calls daily from the local MLA to fire the contracting staff and hire their caste people.

This played an important part in opposition for CBN. Well, you can always say, CBN did not know about this. But, that is not true. He had surrounded himself with his coterie and had the same attitude. He was dream seller this time around. All his agenda for the state was far from reality. All this does not take long to convert into hate.

Even today, the discourse is all the voters made a mistake. CBN was the greatest and mightiest and he lost just because people made a mistake. Unless you realize that, people did not vote to Jagan because he asked for a chance, but because they found CBN and his rule to be repulsive, TDP will never win.
