US weapons are superior but come with a kill chip, we have to get their approval before using them, else wont work

weapons without autonomy are pretty much useless, so india stopped buying strategic weapons from US other than helicopters and transport aircraft

Yeah, and not just exports from China but oil imports to China will also be blocked. This will have an effect but not like a threatening situation.

I believe our defense is more focused on technological leaps the last few years especially S400 and Agni V (with 5k-8k Km range). These are game changers if we were to counter Chinese aggression.

During 1971 war, Russia threatened China and USA both , to not to interfere and support Pakistan.. 

They will do the same, if China comes against India..
