I also had same scenario in 2020, lots of hospital bills, so i spoke accounts team and told i will pay in short amounts of 250/month and they agreed to it, they requested i setup a automatic payment plan and i did that.

So every month i pay 250 and i am doing that from past 2 years and based on the bills that are being accumulated(for after visit and labs) it looks like i have to run the payment plan for next 10-15 years.

No issues, all this will get scrapped after 7 years. I took approx 200K loan and never paid after 7 years everything back to square zero

Don’t sweat it bro, apply for financial assistance application at the hospital and get some help, mostly they will help you if you are getting pay under 60k or 70k
