They use to do salt business in a large scale and use to have good amount of lands ....taxes bobbili samasthananiki kattevallu kadanta due to their promixity with Vizianagaram samasthanam.... ,Vzm rulers used to encourage all asamaathi batch in bobbili....kcr family is one of them...after British took over salt business and levied heavy taxes on all zamindars... It is no longer a profitable for vzm kings and kcr ancestors...so they moved to Telangana to work under nizam......
