Its very likely everyone of them will have close relatives in sangh or bjp. But these are "liberals". EAM jai shankar father is hardcore congressman. Defense minister husband is in tdp.

Both liberal and hindutwadis share deep caste relations.

Many of these ghoshes, mukherjee play all sides - same person may not play both sides but their close relatives can. Pranab mukherjee was congress president but after retirement he happily went to RSS shaka and gave a salute. There will be one or two exceptions here and there giving hot statements for consumption.

yea but no need to give salute to rss if he was really that ideological. For most of these media and politicians - they are on the side of their caste. Thats all - everything else is drama.

Modi and Shah might be from OBC but that's not the reason why liberals don't side with him. These guys are Sonia chemchas and nothing else

Yes - even RSS doesnt like Modi that much. If modi loses badly they will treat him worse than congress treated pvnr.
