That was the misconception here. when GO was bought, it was not technically studied and implemented a 10km buffer zone around the lake and catchment zone. 

80% of the land under 111 GO does not fall under the catchment zone. There are drains flowing into the lakes already and actual catchment zone is up streams of the lake near Vikarabad and Anata Giri hills about 60kms away.

and the dependency in lakes for drinking water has gone down so much so that these lakes will be full of water almost all through out the year.

Keshavapur reservoir, Choutuppal reservoir kuda complete avuthe drinking water ae kadu, we don't have to depend on underground water too. 

Hopefully, the twin lakes's water will be just used for ecological preserve and nothing else.

Wet lands act like natural sponges in times of heavy rains and prevent flash floods 

It's not just a source of drinking water , extensive storm water drains lekapothey flash floods vachinapusu damage will be severe

lakes downstream analedu.. lakes catchment areas ki downstream anna.. they first cut that.. then they start encroaching lakes.. again, why not bring a law first about your logic?
