Putin is building up the nazi element to justify his invasion, but Ukraine society is pretty racist towards Russians too, refering to them as 'asiatic', and themselves as 100% european.

it would mean Ukraine would lose territory in the eastern part to independent nations, a reasonable compromise compared to fighting a much bigger force.

Ukraine will never be allowed to join NATO, nor the european union, inspite of the emergency application that was ratified recently. Ukraine is too much of a mess for Europe to accept it into their economic and monetary union, even if they really want to piss off Russia.

for one, Ukraine is not a democracy in any true sense of the word. there's a long standing civil war in Ukraine in the eastern front, that the govt has failed to address. Even exacerbating conditions there by using nazi forces to quell russian protestors in those areas.

I don't know how long Ukraine can survive by pissing off Russia. The smart thing was to take their demands, and stop the invasion and start rebuilding the ruins.

yaa they should stay away from joining nato. But both countries could have resolved this via talks. Going for an actual war is crazy.

Being racists doesn’t t justify attacking them right? Zelensky is jewish and how did he become president if the society is racist

obviously what Russia did was disgusting. invading a neighbour who hadnt attacked them at all. other than with taunts to their military build up.

how zelensky ended up being president is typical of every region where an upstart beats a corrupt incumbent using social media tools. The same way Modi became India's PM. doesn't mean India is now beyond caste, because an OBC guy became PM, right?

zelensky's pitch was ukrainian-russian brotherhood, plus anti-corruption, plus social media antics. He was considered as the Russian plant opposite the then incumbent.

but None of what he promised came to fruition, and he tried to use Russian provocation on the border to drum up support for himself and his leadership, and everything came to this.

do you ever bother reading anything ? that zelensky said he doesnt like a single word of "minsk agreement'. its a multilateral agreement that only talks about ceasefires and giving peopel access to basic things like banking. Why does he hate such an agreement signed by president AND opposition of ukraine and russia and european agreements.

That zelensky name figures in panama paper and is super corrupt. He merged the nazi inspires azov battallion in to regular ukraine troops.

This is the provocation russia had to deal with. US senators directly addressing ukraine army and telling them your fight is our fight and more aggression must be shown to russia.
