Same here when ever i have a discussion with my parents. I tell them to give to my sister i dont care.

Evari aasthi evaru ra adigedhi…isthe theesuko..either boy or girl ledante wait cheyyi…pillalaki kakunda charities ki raseyyaru ga..coming to katnam..even if katnam given at the time of marriage, end of the day parents should make sure what they give is equally valued. In case son clears some debts, parents will give the same value added when they share..I don’t see a reason why girls should get less or more
