yes sir. lets' say  home is 800K and with bidding u got it for 950K - 20% of home appraised value (which in this case is may be 800k or even less ) + 150K - 310K is ur total downpayment for home which is appraised to 800k by lender ( 40% down chestunnav.

CA folks are only partly to be blamed, atalani cheppi CA illu lu em cheap ga levu.

The conclusion i could draw  is ppl working with remote and 2 jobs are overspending for various reasons(peer pressure, frustrated with home hunt) .

most of those overbidding are doing it becasue they may be first time home buyers and they are worried they may miss the opportunity

or

they have hade good money from selling their homes in CA and putting that earnings from previous home sales into bidding in TX

or 

first time home buyer, had been saving from multiple jobs and spouse now willing to buy worrying about missed opportunity

if one has a home already in DFW and still overbidding for investment, they are plan morons

Either cases ppl are still buying even in bidding wars with inflated prices and trend don’t seem to be dying down any time soon
