Elon Musk will not join the board of Twitter despite now being the company's biggest shareholder, Chief Executive Parag Agrawal said in a tweet on Sunday. Musk, who disclosed a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter just a few days ago, was offered a board seat and his appointment was to become effective on Saturday. But Agrawal announced on Sunday evening that Musk, 50, had decided not to take up his seat. 'Elon shared that same morning that he will no longer be joining the board', Agrawal said in a note on Twitter, adding that he thought it was 'for the best'. 'The board and I had many discussions about Elon joining the board, and with Elon directly,' he wrote. 'We were excited to collaborate and clear about the risks. 'We also believed that having Elon as a fiduciary of the company where he, like all board members, has to act in the best interests of the company and all our shareholders, was the best path forward. The board offered him a seat.'

anyway.. Musk is planning a hostile takeover by staying out of the board and buy as much stake as possible... it suits him well that the stock is down today..

yeah nenu chadiva, he cant buy anymore stake while serving as board member. So he is planning to buy as much as possible and take over fully...may be group president laaga avthademo. Definitely not CEO since he has Tesla
