there's difference between banning an event in Russia, and banning Russians from all events.

people imagining that there will be internal revolt if Russians are banned are not even looking at India, where muslims are being trampled upon and Hindus are not actually revolting against it. Oh, I forgot some of those who want this done are the ones who support trampling of muslims in India.

anyway its the same in all countries. If the same standard applied for war crimes, you guys should resign your US jobs and head back to India, coz of war crimes that US soldiers committed in Iraq and Afghan. But where would you go? to India? India has also committed war crimes in Kashmir - and claims its only an internal issue.

I think its better for Indians to clean their own behind first before it talks about sanctioning anyone else. especially when the idea proposed is as bad as 'banning Russians all over'.

Imagine a company CEO openly stating that he won't act on his Russian employees, coz if the same standard applies, Indian BJP supporting scum would be fired too..

and the claims that without Indians, there won't be a company.

sanctions on a country actually empowers its leader to have an even more iron grip on the nation, by pointing to 'outside forces' trying to break the nation.

it can be seen by how Indians feel more 'Indian' and 'patriotic' whenever economist writes a hit piece on India's economy or politics.

instead withdrawing of diplomatic ties, encouragement of economic ties outside of the control of the Russian govt (by encouraging smuggling into and out of Russia).. these are things the world can do to hit Putin.

It should do this to India too, btw.
