Adani and Mosha biggest coal mismanagement

The present power shortages are only going to get worse. Mid-May will see many more power cuts for at least 2-4 weeks.

The way power and energy are managed in India, we will get to see many such power outages as demand grows.

Temperature and Heat

204 GW requirement met against the average peak hour load at 175 GW, Thermal installed capacity alone stands at ~230 GW and another 100GW hydro and other sources.

Thermal must be operating at 70-80% efficiency, which is a phenomenal %.

If not for record demand, the coal would have been just enough to run with minimal load shedding.

4 months back kuda front page banners and prime time news la power shortage ani labhi dibho lolli chesianru...even before power shortages were felt, coal was rushed to crucial plants.

ipudu kuda anthe....

By the way, last 1 week lo India has seen the highest demand ever for electricity in India and coal fired plants were generating at peak capacity. Peak hour load was double at certain hours.

Entha coal produce chesi stock maintain chesina, such energy shortages cannot be avoided and had to resort to load shedding.

Dhanne mismanagement antaru, Indonesia announced coal export ban in early January and trusting adani govt asked to lower production locally. Now asked to raise local production, ee four months em pekaru ? Elections lo busy aa ?

every year there will be natural growth in power demand, governments are there to consider next year growth and plan accordingly.

India has secured supply of nuclear fuel too. France, Russia is ready to supply fuel.

Liability for civil nuclear damage is now the biggest concern for nuclear energy plants set up India. Global mafia kante kuda ie law chala stingent ga vundi, Hopefully Indian Govt makes an amendment case by case...

I have no idea about this indonesia and coal ban/adani. But I can say for sure that may not be monumental quantity which could really make a difference.

More than mismanagement, it's unprecedented demand which has caused shortages. Never ever in the history of India, we saw this kind of demand Mid-April. Usually July-August lo vuntadi ie rakamaina demand and power plants manage accordingly. ~30-40% peak hour demand ante mazaak kadu...its a huge requirement.

every year peak demand will set new benchmarks that’s natural growth. All state and national load dispatch centers will consider that for their load forecasting. India lo enni power stations due to coal shortage down unnayo velli posoco website velli chudu… and many LNG power stations even though they declared capacity no body is there to buy power because of high costs involved.

peakhour load doubled ani layman la matladaku. peak hour load never doubles. It increases by max 10% every year.

Go and check all state sldc and posoco websites and load curves … 30-40% load pergindhi ani ae sannasi cheppadu neku ? In telangana April maximum demand in a day in 2021 is 283 million units, where as its 274 million units in 2022.

April peak energy requirement pergindha thaggindha?

They were ready for 10% peak hour demand and usually it lasts for few hours. During this time, they try to do load balance across this distribution network and based on the estimates, they fire hydro projects which will deliver instant power to the grid.

Ten percent growth is the benchmark but this year, peak demand was up by 30-35%. April is not the month for peak demand, and we haven't seen this kind of April ever.

4 days back, demand went up by 30-35% in a week. Coal shortage is a worry but not the primary and only reason for shortages.

Nationwide data here: https://posoco.in/reports/daily-reports/daily-reports-2022-23/

show me where the peak demand increased suddenly by 30-35% ?

Don't be a kid. Grow up. Be a man....niku data mida antha asakthi vunte, vidyutpravah.in ani vuntadi...keep looking at that data for estimated peak hour demand-supply and availability of power at exchange, you will get an idea of how much demand was met. Record requirement 204 GW ayindi last week ante April lo peak demand ledu ante evadem seyaledu.

Situation is TS is completely different from picture in India. TS sample chusi, bhajana sesthe kastam.

TS has its own coal mines and has secured coal supply. TS Genco maintains 10 days buffer coal and that was only possible because of local availability of coal and its stake in Singareni. This is not the case with most other states.
