its a chain, producer and distributor make a deal before buy/sell happens, 

distributor and exhibitor make a deal - first week distributor and exhibitor share 50/50from net collections, so on week 2 distributor share drops slightly, i think 60 exhibitor /40 distributor  and 3rd week even more, 4th week even more..

so movie should do well at BO, for profits, if not all 3 producers, distrubutors, and exhibitors incur hole sale losses.
