Did we have a content crisis in Tollywood at that time?

No, films like Nuvvosthanante Nenoddante, Evadi Gola Vadidi, Athanokkade, Bhadra, etc were blockbusters in the same year.

Was it a new trend for Tamil films being successful in Tollywood?

No, we already have blockbuster Tamil dubbed films since 90s. Some films like Bhaasha and Prema Desam were trend setters.

Did we have dissent from audience about Telugu movies at that time?

No, Telugu audiences were watching Telugu movies and dubbed movies alike.

Did any of those movies challenged the market share of top actors of Tollywood?

No, these films were only successful for their content. None of the Telugu actors considered these films as competition.

Was subsequent year worse for Tollywood?

We have blockbusters like Devadasu, Lakshmi, Sri Ramadasu, Pokiri, Vikramarkudu, Bommarillu, etc in the very next year.

You should consider all these things. You can't judge the rise and fall of an industry based on the box-officer performance of a few dubbed films.

Except for NVNV others are just hits

There's lot of dissent at that time especially from the fact that telugu heros are doing same routine movies and Tamil heros were doing variety roles...

After that Telugu movies became stronger and more aware...same is gonna happen to Hindi cinema

Pan India films are more or less dubbed films for North audience just like Korean films that's why Prabhas settled in Bombay for closer reach

The dissent in Tollywood was mostly from multiplex audiences. B & C center audience ki problem ledu. It is evident from blockbusters of all top stars during that time.

Bollywood lo multiple issues unnayi. 90s varaku Dawood Ibrahim backing undedi, vaadu poyaaka kuda underworld control lo nundi bayataki raledu. 2010s lo slow ga social media groups lo dissent start aindi. But still mana movies ni troll chesevaallu. Vaallaki top actors entha chetta movie teesina hit ayyevi. For example, SRK's Happy New Year mana daggara 1 week kooda aadadu, alaantidi akkada records set chesindi. Same is the case for Chennai Express. Same time lo vaallaki TV lo, youtube lo dubbed south movies access dorikindi. Slow ga akkada janam mindset change aindi. Baahubali tho vaallaki Bollywood ni criticize cheyyataniki oka opportunity dorikindi. Now they criticize everything like nepotism, appeasement, disconnect from rural audiences, etc.

Main difference entante top 2 blockbusters in Bollywood are not Hindi films. Mana daggara kooda mana cinemala kante Tamil films ki ekkuva collections vasthe oka mini war start avutundi.

You think star kids in Telugu are not nepotism ? Only difference is public dissent here was crushed by movie mafia and caste politics ...

Exactly my point. Bollywood lo kante mana daggara control ekkuva, but adi within industry untundi. External control thakkuva. Bollywood lo underworld and political influence ekkuva. Jagan, CBN, or KCR em chesina mana vaallu pattinchukoru, but Bollywood lo frequent ga edo oka political issue nadusthune untundi. Daani valla audience kooda groups ga vidipotharu. Recent example is Sarkaru Vaari Paata. YCP ki favor ga oka dialogue unte entire audiences, critics, industry split aipoindi. Bollywood lo 60-70% alaanti groups nadusthayi. Majority audiences ki against ga unna celebs ekkuva, so vaallu South ni leputhunnaru.

Nepotism kooda Bollywood kante mana daggara ekkuva. But manam number of films ekkuva chestham. Chiranjeevi family lo 10+ actors unnaru, but vaalla movies chudakudadu anukunte naa daggara chaala options untayi. Anduke ikkada nepotism pedda issue kadu. Okavela alternatives lekapothe mana daggara kooda pedda godavalu ayyevi.

No harm in hoping this trend survives... But there is another industry brewing in UP that's changing bollywood landscape, so this seemed like a void that got created in Bollywood IMO.
