• బాలయ్య .. బోయపాటి కాంబినేషన్లో వచ్చిన 'అఖండ'
• క్రితం ఏడాది డిసెంబర్ 2వ తేదీన విడుదలైన సినిమా
• తాజాగా 175 రోజులు పూర్తిచేసుకుందంటూ పోస్టర్ రిలీజ్
• సింహా .. లెజెండ్ జాబితాలో చేరిన 'అఖండ'  

బాలకృష్ణ కథానాయకుడిగా బోయపాటి దర్శకత్వంలో రూపొందిన 'అఖండ' క్రితం ఏడాది డిసెంబర్ 2వ తేదీన విడుదలైంది. భారీ బడ్జెట్ తో మిర్యాల రవీందర్ రెడ్డి నిర్మించిన ఈ సినిమా, తాజాగా 175 రోజులను పూర్తిచేసుకుంది. ఈ విషయాన్ని అధికారికంగా తెలియజేస్తూ అందుకు సంబంధించిన పోస్టర్ ను వదిలారు. 

ఇంతకుముందు బాలకృష్ణ - బోయపాటి కాంబినేషన్లో వచ్చిన 'సింహా' .. 'లెజెండ్' మాదిరిగానే 'అఖండ' కూడా సిల్వర్ జూబిలీ మార్క్ ను టచ్ చేసింది. 'సింహా' .. 'లెజెండ్' ఈ రెండు సినిమాలు కూడా ఎమోషన్ తో కూడుకున్న మాస్ యాక్షన్ సినిమాలే. బాలయ్య బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ కి తగిన పవర్ఫుల్ కథలే. 

అయితే 'అఖండ' సినిమా విషయానికి వచ్చేసరికి, మాస్ యాక్షన్ కి దైవశక్తిని తోడు చేయడం జరిగింది. ఎమోషన్ ను దైవశక్తి మీదుగా యాక్షన్ వైపు మళ్లించడంతో అన్నివర్గాల ప్రేక్షకులు కనెక్ట్ అయ్యారు. దాంతో విడుదలైన ప్రతి ప్రాంతంలో కాసుల వర్షం కురిసేసింది. మొత్తానికి బాలయ్య కెరియర్ లోనే ఇది చెప్పుకోదగిన సినిమాగా నిలిచింది.

To be honest I am not a big fan of over 60 actors still dancing and prancing around heroines fit enough to be their grand daughters. So to that extent I did not like the role of Balakrishna who has this romantic interest in Pragnya Jaiswal.

But the Balakrishna that played the titular role Akhanda - that performance was pretty awesome and powerful.  Whatever your religious beliefs are- he is the only mainstream actor who proudly and forcefully talks about Hindu customs, traditions in his movies without worrying about any backlash and ridicule. You have to have guts to do it. 

And I'd be seriously remiss if I do not mention the background score by Thaman which really is the backbone in all the high octane, testosterone filled scenes. I genuinely experienced the mind numbing effect of the background score even sitting at home and watching this movie on my TV. I can only imagine the mayhem this would have caused in the movie theaters. The only reason I regret not watching this in a movie theater.

Ballaya babu lock track scenes thappa....Overall ga cinema was very good. 

He should pick subjects that suits his age from here on.

Fully agreed. Honestly it looks pretty disgusting, awkward and plain embarrassing the age gap between the male and the female lead - and I am not talking about just Balayya. 

 

Balakrishna actually has the acting chops to portray the sort of roles you mentioned. Hope he considers it. I mean inka ennallu avey rotta roles - 60 years varaku koddo goppo theda thoti avey roles chesavu - he can really diversify his roles now concomitant with this age.
