Only thing you should be bothered is timelines and regular monitoring on the materials you made agreement for. Rest all issues common.

Heard loan process is little tough compared to regular ones.

only few builders will offer full custom houses ani vinna like they will do whatever you want but within county guidelines. Remaining all other builders valla daggara unna templates istharu and vatillo Nu customize chesukochu. Naku 1st hand exp ledhu neelati pedhamanishi cheppinavi.

Even I am trying, spent already 6/7 months into this.

Cons (can't say) : lot of research need to be done, time and patience.

Pros: you will definitely save Money, gain experience/knowledge and last & imp satisfaction and good feeling.

pros:

Live in the home of what you want, what you like and where you want everything to be at in the home.

 

Cons: 

timlines

finding right contractor

quality of work (may be)

mostly importantly, resale - as you built your home to your taste.. numbers of buyers may be less, means less money when you sell

Apr is more, time lines has to be met for release of funds from bank during construction

plus you cant buy open lot in a community and build your own house. Mostly outside of community lo lots untai..where there is no association.

Pros - no association fee, no community rules n guidelines etc...just follow your city rules anthe

Cons - Usually oke community lo unte more secure, oka neighborhood lo unna feeling vasthadi, mostly desis andaru oke chota untaru so kids ki easy for playing, club house/pool etc amenities undochu.
